Message from Mrs. Oey Dear Class, Can you believe it's almost spring break? You guys have been working super hard. We need a little break. You have deserved it! Don't take too much of a break though! Testing is right around the corner. We have a lot of things planned in the next few months. I can hardly wait!! Tutoring- We will start tutoring for math and language arts when we come back from spring break. Tutoring will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:30-4:00. Field Trip- That's right field trip!!! In April, we will visit Reily's Farm and live the life of a 49ner! Are you ready to learn about The Gold Rush? Remember to bring in your $14 donation for admission. CST- Can you believe it's almost here? We begin our testing May 7th. Don't worry, you all are going to do great! We've been practicing and will continue to practice. Just keep practicing the strategies we learned in class! More updates to come! Don't forget to finish your spring break homework! Emily is one of the sweetest girl in school. She is always extremely helpful to her classmates and teachers. Emily is also an awsome student. She is a great reader and problem solver. I predict that Emily is going make a difference in many lives when she grows up. The Student of the Month for January is .................. "Leslie Castenada"!!! Leslie will be the first femal president!!! She is a fiesty determined young lady. Leslie is smart and super artistic. Her imagination, strong willed, and witt will guarantee that she will be successful in the future. I'm so proud of you!! Keep Rocking!!! The Student of the Month for NOVEMBER is ........... "Jessica Castillo"!!! Jessica is an A+ student. She is one of the best writers at SMBCCS. In December, Jessica worked with writers from Young Storytellers to write her first script. The script was then acted out by REALactors! Way to go, Jessica! We are lucky to have you in our class! The Student of the Month for OCTOBER is ............... "Daniel Guerror"!!! Daniel is ONE OF A KIND! He is SUPER SUPER SUPER smart! If there is a solution to a math problem, Daniel will figure it out. He is a true math genius! Daniel is also an awesome writer. His writing is well thought out and always really interesting. When he writes he always makes connections with other books or things that happened to him. When we are able to clone humans... we need to clone Daniel!!! He's going to change the world!! =) The Student of the Month for SEPTEMBER is .......... "Carlos Turcious"!!!

Student of the Month!!!

The Student of the Month for Febuary is .................. "Emily Carrilo"!!!
